Introduction and Overview

RTime is used to request the current time from a remote server and set the system time to that. RTime can request the time using the Time protocol (RFC 868) or the Simple Network Time Protocol (RFC 1361).

Use

This system variable contains the name of a server which talks SNTP from which the current time may be requested. It may be configured automatically by the system from network parameters (for example by BOOTP) or explicitly by the user.

Syntax

*RTime [-help] [-udp] [-ntp] [-quiet] [-noset] [<host>]

Parameters

-help	-	Display help on the command
-udp	-	Use UDP (default is TCP)
-ntp	-	Use Network Time Protocol (default is Time protocol)
-quiet	-	Don't display time after fetching it
-noset	-	Don't set the system time after fetching it
<host>	-	Host to request time from

Use

This command requests the time from a remote server.

*RTime ntp.bingle.org
