Appletalk Addon for !OmniClient
-------------------------------

To configure the Appletalk client run the new Network
configuration tool by double clicking on !Boot.

Select the OmniClient Tool (which will appear if Omniclient
is running) and select the Appletalk option.

Please note that you cannot run the LanManFS NetBEUI client
at the same time as Appletalk but you can run LanManFS over IP.

e.g if you are currently using a Lan Manager connection via
NetBEUI when you activate the AppleTalk client, the connection
protocol for LanManager will automatically be changed to
TCP/IP.

Spaces in login names can be achieved using <alt><space>

Where the login window specifies a directory path, that field should be
regarded as a synonym for the Appletalk share name.

Guest access can be achieved by inputting no name and no password. As an
alternative, the username "guest" with no password is also recognised.

Brief set up instructions.
--------------------------

1. The IP address of the Mac must be in the RISC OS hosts file
if you don't have a local DNS server.

2. On the Mac you must have a user with rights set up for sharing
in the Apple File Sharing Control Panel.
You also need to share the drive from the sharing box on the drive
info window and have File Sharing switched ON.

3. In Omniclient go to Mounts > Protocols > Appletalk.

4. Assuming you have the Mac Hard Drive shared with a computer name of
"Mac" containing a drive called "MacDrive" a Username of "Remote" and a
password "Remote" then fill in the following in the Mount 'Appletalk'
server dialogue boxes.

Name - your choice of name to appear on the icon
Server name - Mac
Directory path - MacDrive
User name - Remote
Password - Remote

If you get the error "Bad Appletalk Internet Address" then either
the Mac is not switched on or connected to the network or listed
in the RISC OS Hosts file.

To check if the Mac is on the network try pinging the Mac by
typing *ping <IPAddress> from the command line.
e.g if the Mac has an IP Address of 192.168.1.22 then type
*ping 192.168.1.22
